Last Minute Halloween Decor (Tour 2019)

I'm not one to decorate for Halloween for too long. I put fall decorations up usually in September and then Christmas decor up at the beginning of November (I know, I early :) ). So, Halloween doesn't get much show time. I want to keep my fall stuff up as long as I can, and truthfully, I prefer fall over Halloween any day :) Most years, I decorate for Halloween the week before the 31st. This year....well, I just barely finished it up. A little late, but done. We went on vacation for about a week and a half and it totally threw everything off.

Since I put this decor up so quickly, luckily, it's just as quick to take it down. Having a neutral home is the best when it comes to fast switches like this. I added lots of black to capitalize on the Halloween feel....that and skulls. Lots and lots of skulls. Because I waited for so long to decorate, I was able to find most of my decor for 70% off (besides the stuff I already had). Totally worth waiting sometimes!

Pastel and Gold Fall Tablescape With DIY Tray

You guys! Fall is in full swing, and somehow I'm already deciding on what to do for Christmas decor. I seriously don't understand it. Christmas was like 3 months ago, wasn't it? ha! Time sure does fly. Well, if you are still thinking about ways to decorate for fall, and not Christmas, or an idea to set up your Thanksgiving tablescape, this post is for you!

This month I blogged about this pretty pastel and gold fall tablescape on the DecoArt blog. I gave lots of tips on how best to paint craft pumpkins and also an easy tutorial on how to make this amazing gilded gold standing tray.  Click here to go check it out!

Farmhouse Fall Living Room Decor (Front Room Tour 2019)

It's still so crazy to me that fall is already here and pumpkins are adorning my house. Even crazier, that in about 2 weeks, this room is going to have Christmas decor. I am so not ready for that! Seriously though, where has this year gone?! I still feel like its May! haha :)

Well, I wasn't going to share this room this year for my fall decor since not a lot was added, but I love looking back at my rooms every year and how they were decorated for each season. I also figured it would offer a little more inspiration if you are need of it! Plus, I have big changes coming in here so this will probably be the last glimpse of it with how it is now. My plans? Full length board and batten over all the walls.
Barn Door Tutorial
I'm still trying to decide if I should keep this back planked wall or if it will look weird with the board and batten. So, it will probably be a 2 part process. I'll see what it looks like, and if I hate it, I'll ri…

Last Minute Easy Halloween Decor Ideas and Projects

Halloween has grown on me over the years. I never really decorated for it until I had kids, but funny enough, I have yet to dress up for it since I had kids :) That probably makes me a boring mom, ha! Oh well.

Even though I now decorate for Halloween, I don't do it for very long; I don't put in a lot of effort and I definitely make it as easy as possible. Here is my list of last minute easy halloween decor and some projects that I have done over the years.

First up is this glittery spiderweb. This can easily be made into a place mat or hung anywhere for other decor. (tutorial here)

This DIY skull vase is probably one of my faves. It doesn't require much time and it's probably the prettiest Halloween decor you will see. (tutorial here)

I made this a few years ago to amuse my kids. This was used doing lots of dollar store finds and a few craft store items. (tutorial here)
Last year for Halloween, I was …
